Algoma Student Nutrition Program supports elementary and secondary schools across the Algoma District by providing annual grants that support the purchase of nutritious foods for a breakfast, lunch, or snack program. By promoting healthy eating and providing nutrition programs in school settings, students have the potential of achieving optimal health, growth and intellectual development.

Eat Well to Excel

Eat Well to Excel, the Simcoe County nutrition program for school-age children, supports volunteer-run breakfast clubs, nutritious snack, and lunch programs in Simcoe County. Currently, Eat Well to Excel serves 75,000 children daily at over 188 sites with the support of more than 500 volunteers.

Food and Friends supports over 100 student nutrition programs providing over 875,000 meals per year in Guelph, Wellington and Dufferin.

Halton Food for Thought supports over 160 student nutrition programs providing over 2.6 million meals per year in the Halton region.

Nutrition for Learning currently supports 156 student nutrition programs impacting over 18,000 children daily in elementary and secondary schools throughout Waterloo Region.

Ottawa Network for Education

The Ottawa School Breakfast Program ensures that over 13,500 students in 175 schools in Ottawa have access to a healthy breakfast in a safe, supervised environment – helping each child start their day ready to learn.

Student Nutrition Program Muskoka, Nipissing and Parry Sound

The Student Nutrition Program under the umbrella of Community Living North Bay supports 102 schools throughout Nipissing, Parry Sound and Muskoka districts. The Student Nutrition Program provides financial support to schools who serve a breakfast or snack program and promotes healthy eating in the schools. The Student Nutrition Program helps feed more than 13,500 elementary and secondary students every school day across all three regions.

The YMCA Student Nutrition Program of Peel currently supports over 210 student nutrition programs impacting over 16,000 children daily in elementary and secondary schools throughout Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon.
